PARTNERSHIPS

Partnerships and collaboration are essential to reducing duplication of services and leveraging resources to serve more youth. Since 1999, CYS has played a major role in the development of Project Peace an Inglewood Unified School District program that provides Peer Mediation at 18 schools and Conflict Resolution training to truant and suspended students through Saturday School.

Since 2003 CYS has been a partner in the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) Bridge to Work program, a gang intervention and prevention collaborative funded through California Gang Reduction and Intervention (Cal GRIP) funding, that incorporates VORS and FARS services with job training and life skills development programs. Bridge to Work has been successful in maintaining a 76% placement in employment rate and a 72% six-month retention rate because of the integrated services of partner agencies.
